Here at Respect My Region we are trying to keep our fans in the loop about what is going on! So I wanted to give you all a look at what went into the making of our new snapbacks that are arriving this next week. We decided we wanted to do snapbacks a while ago, but never had the funds, and never really knew what we wanted to put on it. We received a lot of suggestions from fans about what the new hats should include, what colors it should be, etc. But we decided that our first two RMR snapbacks should be simple, so we decided to go with just our logo.
This wasn’t always the case though, we thought we wanted a college style snapback, a hat that was in our colors that was similar to what many hat companies have been putting out. But we decided against that, it was just to similar to what everyone else was doing, and we didn’t think it worked that well. We will, however, probably revisit a design like that if our snapbacks sell well.
It’s not everyday we have designed a hat, and we wanted it to be something people would actually wear. So we decided to go simple and clean, in two different color-ways. It would provide our customers with some power to pick which one they wanted to sport and give us a little variety. We went with our logo on the front of the hat. I think our logo represents the Northwest, and we wanted to emphasize that. We also went with “NORTHWEST” on the back and on the side we went with our logo inside a rounded box.
It’s the little touches that we really enjoy. The hats will be in black and green, and red, grey-wool, and black. You can view the images below to see what the colors are, and you can see the sample pictures we got throughout the process for verification of the designs. I really hope you guys enjoy these, it’s been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to do more designs! We want to thank the printer Premier Fits, they have been a great help to us throughout the whole process, and giving us advice and feedback on what we want to do, so thanks guys!
Above is a little preview of the stitching, the color of the fabric isn’t the right color, but this was just a test print from our printer Premier Fits. It was for us to verify the emblems and icons.
