The Debris Clean

Respect My Region has partnered with ThisGirl.ThatBoy to do The Debris Clean in La Push, Washington! Brindi and Paul of ThisGirl.ThatBoy contacted us after they went on vacation to the beach because they noticed that the beach was covered in debris from the Japan Tsunami. We were super excited to help setup a cleanup crew. The Debris Clean will be happening the weekend of September 7th, 8th, and 9th. We will be carpooling up on Friday and camping on the beach till Sunday. We will be cleaning most of the day Saturday and providing hot dogs for dinner on Saturday night. We are still looking for volunteers to help us out! You can check out the event on our calendar page, and also check out Facebook to RSVP! You can also contact ThisGirl.ThatBoy on Facebook on Facebook if you have questions or concerns about the cleanup. We look forward to seeing you all there, and are excited to help out the Northwest! Below is a quote about the event if you are looking for more information:

Thisgirl.Thatboy & Respect my Region are teaming up to clean one of the Northwest’s great beaches!Every year Brindi & Paul camp at La Push for 4th of July. It has become their little tradition. Well this year they hiked down to one of their favorite beaches to find it piled with trash and debris from the Japan tsunami. It made them realize how much cleaning needed to be done! They picked up what they could but decided they wanted to get a group together to do a full cleanup!

So here’s the plan ———————————————————

On September 7th – Meeting up and car pooling to La Push, Wa.

We can camp right on the beach for $5, and it is about a 15 min hike in and out.

Clean Saturday and head home Sunday.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the cleanup, anyone is welcome as long as you want to help the environment and clean!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them below. We will be releasing more information as needed.
