Tope has teamed up with Noah Porter, and made a video to his TROUBLE MAN track, “Take Your Time” (ft. the talented Farnell Newton). Noah Porter, (KNWPO), is quickly becoming my favorite Portland videographer. He’s been releasing one gem after another, his work being consistent, creative and professional. In this video, rocking the stick on mustache and nerd glasses, Tope brings to life his character “Soul Flower T” and shows some love to the beautiful, incredible Erykah Badu. Yesterday, Erykah Badu herself showed some love back, tweeting that she’d seen the video and was “INSPIRED”. How’s that for, “you’re doing well”, Tope? On Facebook, Tope reported, “I know my mom would be really proud, she used to play “Bag Lady” on repeat at the house when I was a kid. My sister and I cried today talking about it. “ Lately, Tope has been getting a lot of national recognition, but I doubt there’s anything more exciting than hearing that one of the artists you admire is impressed with your product.
