4 Things I’m Excited For At Lucky 2016 (Ft. Zomboy, Crizzly, MRC, Luminox)

Lucky is my favorite single-day USC Events festival. The theme is green everything, there’s always dope artists, and people generally choose to really let loose in celebration of St. Patricks day.

The last two years I attended Lucky as part of the water station volunteers and as a special Fx confetti-blower. This year I’m definitely going to miss blasting confetti and rocking the front of the stage but I’m still very excited to to just hang out and really experience what else the event truly has to offer.

Lucky 2016 Full Lineup (Enter To Win Free VIP Tickets)I could probably come up with 50 different reasons as to why I’m excited to head to the Tacoma Dome for Lucky 2016. I’ll spare everyone a terrible read and keep this post to a quick 5 things I’m super excited for at this year’s festival.

I’ll start with the lineup.

This year’s lineup has about 20 or so artists and features three of my favorite DJs. Zomboy, Luminox, and Crizzly are the three artists I’m most excited along with Steve Aoki, Dada Life, and W&W. There’s a good chance you’ll be able to find me wherever these guys are spinning come March 12th.

I’ve never actually seen Crizzly play before which is crazy since his music was definitely the first ‘edm’ I ever really liked. Shouts to his original crunkstep mix for putting me on!  I definitely suggest checking out his Soundcloud for an endless supply of #superSLAPPERS.

Luminox and Zomboy have both wrecked my life at the bass stage during each of the last two Paradiso festivals. Thanks to these guys I know just how grimy trap and dubstep can really get and there is no way I’ll miss their sets!

If you like insane bass music then you’ll definitely want to bump through each of Zomboy’s latest tracks down below.

Midnight Raver ClothingThe final thing I’m most excited for at Lucky 2016 has to do with Midnight Raver Clothing. This group stays true to the culture of dance music by encouraging every aspect of PLUR and really take things to a whole new level by supporting local veterans.

A large chunk of their proceeds goes towards helping vets in our region and they make a huge effort to sponsor local artists across the region. If you’re someone who goes to shows year-round, MRC is definitely a brand you should support because they embody what it means to be a small clothing brand with huge aspirations. Shouts to this group for working with us to support the local dance music scene as much as possible.
