Over the past few months, Alfred Banks has easily become one of my favorite artists to watch on the rise. The New Orleans, Louisiana artist dropped his amazing album, The Beautiful, around this time last year. The album was a masterpiece.
The 12 track project centers around the death of Alfred’s older brother Landis due to schizophrenia and his own fear of possibly being affected by the mental disorder himself. Since the release of, The Beautiful, Mister Banks has made great strides in his career being featured in multiple national publications as well as landing a track on the Netflix film, Burning Sands, which was executive produced by legendary Chicago rapper Common.
Fast forward a year after his last LP and Alfred Banks is here with two new singles as well as a spot on the upcoming regional tour with New York emcee Mickey Factz.
The new single ‘Always’ was produced by MvsterMind.
The second of the two new cuts is ‘Shoot Your Shot’ which was produced by DoncheDidIt.
Catch Alfred Banks live in a city near you with Mickey Factz now. The tour kicks off April 11th in Gainesville, Florida and concludes April 25th in Chicago, Illinois.
