Badyoshi Dropped Their Debut EP And It’s Straight Fire

Badyoshi released their debut EP and I can’t get enough of it. It gives me essences of the effortless bounce that early 2000’s R&B and hip-hop had. When the dirty south entered the spotlight, and Three-6-Mafia was poppin’ their collar.

The intensity that these guys bring to their live show is infectious. We saw their high energy during Yodi Mac’s set for Seattle’s Most Stoned Emcees. Now you can feel the energy through these seven tracks.

Songs like “SCOML” give me a “Glocks up, hats down, fiend in these streets,” feel. You feel me?

“What Is This” is easily one of my favorite tracks on the entire EP. Even before listening, it got bonus points for being produced by Qreepz. But then once I heard it the quick fast staccato raps made me melt like a marshmallow.

I prefer to be high when I listen to music, to be fair I prefer to be high all the time. This EP though specifically deserves a blunt in hand while listening. Badyoshi smoked a mountain of blunts in the FLCL music video.
