The first time I found The Bakeréé it was by complete accident. I pulled over in Georgetown and after checking Google, I realized I was just a block away from one of the best medical marijuana dispensaries known as the Bakeréé. Now a fully compliant and legal recreational cannabis store, this has now become one of my most frequent stops when I am in the south end of Seattle.
I try to always swing by before heading to Ghostfish Brewery, that way I have a proper appetite worked up for some delicious food. Nestled just feet from East Marginal Way and 1st Avenue, The Bakeréé is easy to miss. The red building hides the pot shop very well. A stereotypical large green sign with a pot leaf is nowhere to be found. As I approached the door, the smell of freshly baked bread was coming from somewhere nearby.
According to their website, “The Bakeréé showrooms are from the original homestead in Georgetown dating back to the turn of the last century.” Needless to say, the building has immense character and history.
Inside the building, you will find two open rooms. One of the rooms contains their display cases completely full of weed. The other room contains photographs of Seattle legends Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden. It’s no surprise that many customers spend time looking at each of the photos before investigating the weed.
The Bakeréé routinely offers specials. I signed up for their text alerts and they regularly have specials up to 30 percent off that they send out to customers. They also notify customers of new products this way which is very helpful.
Recently I was able to pick up 10 grams of True OG for the low price of $49, which I consider a steal. They have a selection of products to appease any budget. Their budtenders also provide quality customer service and don’t typically pressure you to spend more than you want.
Some of my favorite products available at The Bakeréé are:
- Gorilla Grapes from Phat Panda
- Sour Diesel from Freddy’s Fuego
- Happy Apple Cider from Happy Apple
