This past weekend, we visited Seaside, a smaller coastal community that is located in Northwestern Oregon. The town is one of the Oregon coastline’s most popular tourist destinations and is just off Highway 101. The area is home to many beautiful outdoor activities and legal cannabis is readily available for both medical marijuana patients and recreational users.
After searching through Leafly and watching the Weedmaps tour of Tsunami Marijuana, their store seemed to be the best option in the area. The shop had plenty of parking and carried some of the best strains and extracts we typically look for.

On this particular trip, we were helped by two wonderful staff Jessica (featured in the video) and Craig. Dominique Dabs and I spent about twenty minutes asking question after question, trying to really identify whether or not the Tsunami staff was really up educated on a medical level. We ended up selecting $20 worth of the Golden Goat strain, a $12 gram of Electric Velvet, and chose two grams of extracts, the Amnesia Haze and Golden Pineapple.
So far, I have been impressed with both the Golden Goat and the Electric Velvet strains. The Golden Goat had a pungent citrus and pine smell that was very remanescent of many Dutch Treat and Durban Poison strains that I have tried. It was noticeably potent and energetic, plus the ash was a cleaner white color. The Electric Velvet strain smelled of orange flowers with a hint of pine. The bud wasn’t as dense or tight as the goat but the flower was just as flavorful and potent.
