Bite of Seattle x NorthWestFest (Summer Fashion)

These days, the popular thing to do is head out to a local festival. There are so many types of festivals you can go to and they’re all over the place. If you want to get out of the Pacific North West there are plenty of options but we don’t recommend leaving the most beautiful region on Earth.

Here at RMR we are fans of local events, local foods, local culture, and of course locally grown people from the PNW. Having spent most of my life in the greater Seattle area, I am familiar with major events going on downtown. Over the next two and a half months there are tons of festivals going on around Washington and we will definitely be attending a good amount of them.

One of my favorite things about going to festivals is getting to people watch and observing all of the different fashions that people are wearing. Since RMR started off selling cool clothes, I have a soft spot for local fashion. I believe I have a good eye for spotting unique PNW designs from local brands and I also love seeing people support these small companies out in the festival streets.

Today I will be sharing a couple July events with you that I will probably be out promoting at. To give things a bit of a twist I’ll also be sharing a few different products from local clothing brands that would be perfect for someone to wear out at one of these festivals!

BITE OF SEATTLE (July 17-19 at Seattle Center)

On July 17th Seattle Center is hosting the first day of Bite Of Seattle which will feature an incredible amount of performers, musicians, food vendors, and of course PEOPLE. You will see more individuals from Europe and Asia than you ever expected, and you’ll definitely get lost trying to find the armory when it comes time to take a leak. Experienced Bite of Seattle goers are familiar with the struggles of this huge festival. Saturday and Sunday are the two busiest days and it pretty much clogs up all of downtown Seattle. The event runs all weekend long (July 17-19) so be sure to prepare yourself for traffic and parking!

July 18th there is a brand new festival being held at Myrtle Edwards Park called NorthWestFest! There are over 10 performers hitting the stage ranging from rappers to DJs! Headliners have been announced as Ty Dolla $ign, BARE, and BL3R. I’m most excited to see #LocalLegend Nacho Picasso kill it after a bass heavy set out at Summer Jam a few weeks back. If you don’t know where Myrtle Edwards Park is then clearly you have’t been to Seattle Hempfest which will also be held at the same spot about a month later! Check out our blog’s previous posts on NWfest for your chance to win free tickets.

These two festivals are right around the corner and if you’ve been paying attention to the Seattle weather at all this summer you’ll know that most likely it WILL be sunny. This means that you should rock some sort of dope PNW tank or tee. If you like EDM or just dance music in general I highly recommend supporting Dance Music NW by rocking one of their new fashion pieces.

If you’re not into tank tops or a big dance music fan, there are definitely other options available! Check out some of these DOPE items from SEA206.com! These guys have been selling some of the best PNW themed items for years.

One of my favorite local companies is Imperial Motion! They have higher quality pieces and tons of unique designs so be sure to check them out and give their Facebook a like. Some of my favorite items from them can be seen below.

Most of these items are for the fellas so I had to go digging for some items that the ladies might like too! Check out these awesome women’s items from Casual Industrees below.
