Seattle Hosts 3rd Annual Cannabis Summit Convention

If you are a legislator, policy maker, government employee, cannabis business owner, cannabis advocate and/or anyone who sees themselves as a leader in the cannabis industry, then this is the event for you.

The Washington State Cannabis Summit returns to Seattle for their 3rd annual convention on January 6th at The Crowne Plaza on International Boulevard in Downtown Seattle.

The Cannabis Summit is a visionary event held for positioning Washington State as a cannabis industry leader.

This event is meant to openly discuss opportunities for the future in cannabis and is designed to challenge the current state of affairs with cannabis legislation, research and education.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m., where you can begin by enjoying a continental breakfast. At 8:45 a.m., the event will begin with keynote speakers. The event ends at 7 p.m., but there will be a dinner and an anniversary gala until 10 p.m. for those ticket holders.

Tickets range in prices for this event. For the Summit only, tickets cost $185. For the alliance anniversary dinner gala, tickets will cost $95.

If you wanted to utilize the entire event, which would be the dinner and the Summit, tickets will cost $250. Tickets are on sale for one more day, so hurry and get yours while you still can.

One of the keynote speakers is Jeremy Plumb, CEO and founder of Newcleus Nurseries. Their state of the art cannabis farm practices new-age technology in harmony with regenerative farming practices.

Another keynote speaker will be Betty Aldworth who joined the Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) team in February 2014 as Executive Director. Aldworth has since led the organization through it’s most substantial growth.

World class speaker and Washington State Liquor & Cannabis board member Ollie A. Garrett will also be in attendance. She was appointed to the Liquor and Cannabis Board effective August 2016. Tommy Chong was also a previous keynote speaker at The WA Cannabis Summit in 2016.

Three main objectives that The Cannabis Summit hopes in completing are:

  • Educate and inform policy makers, business leaders and cannabis advocates on the most pressing issues faced today
  • Create new relationships that the participants can utilize to inform their choices and actions.
  • Inspire leaders in the industry to envision the world in which cannabis can help the environment, the economy, and social issues.

The Cannabis Summit hopes to inspire and better connect people with professionals, public servants, academics and citizens who share a commitment to improving the cannabis industry.
