Eat Somethin’: Marination Mobile

Today, we launch Eat Somethin’ our weekly blog to help NW foodies find that ever coveted lunch location. We’ll be covering places we’ve tried ourselves and give them our stamp of approval; or not.  If you find some place we should try, be sure to use #EatSomethinNW, and we will add it to our list to try out. So lets do this!

Marination MobileHave you ever heard about Marination? The “Best Food Truck in America” as awarded by Good Morning America? It’s been parked in our back yard, Seattle, since 2009, and has the line to prove it’s worth. But if you can get past that (or just choose a non-peak time to visit), you will find some delectable treats coming out of this food truck. They specialize in Hawaiian-Korean fusion cooking, which is music to our ears. Their menu consists of items like pork or spam sliders, quesadillas, tacos and rice bowls. My favorite is the pork slider, juicy pulled pork with Marination Signature Slaw, and their famous Nunya sauce on a Hawaiian Roll. It’s one of the reasons people continue to go back.

Marination has grown in popularity and I would highly recommend going on non-peak times (skip lunch) as the line gets pretty ridiculous around those times. I usually hit them up when they are at their Pioneer Square spot, but you can find them all over Seattle, depending on the day of the week. If you’re looking for their regular locations, look no further, as they do a great job of informing their customers of where they’ll be. They’re very active on social media and interacting with their customers, so be sure to find them on Facebook and Twitter.
