Having smoked some of the best cannabis that Oregon has to offer, I can definitely confirm that smoking weed and watching the eclipse would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Apparently, I’m not the only person who thinks this is a good idea. According to Business Insider and Now This – Weed, some dispensaries in Oregon started running out of weed due to the eclipse.

Complex also reported that over 1 million people were expected to travel to Oregon for the eclipse. Their article mentions “a dispensary in John Day has had to turn away recreational marijuana buyers in order to prioritize stock for those who need marijuana for medical reasons.”
With so many people pouring in and out of the Pacific Northwest, it is exciting to see the cannabis industry really start to reach more people from the rest of the country.
