#FoodJunkie Review: Thanksgiving at Pearl Bar & Dining

My family has spent a good amount of Thanksgiving dinners out at restaurants. This year we went to Pearl Bar and Dining in downtown Bellevue and I have to say this was probably my favorite. I’m weird when it comes to Thanksgiving in the sense that I don’t like stuffing or pumpkin pie which makes going out to eat pretty much perfect for me.

The dinner at Pearl came with your choice of salad or soup, an entree, sides for the table to share and a dessert. My father and I ordered their green salad and my mother ordered the butternut squash bisque. I’m not a butternut squash fan but my mother loves them and wouldn’t share with my dad. For entrees, my father and I picked the rib-eye and my mother got their fresh salmon. The rib-eye was as big as my face and came over mashed potatoes.

What really stole the show however was the dessert. My mother got the pumpkin pie which she was not overly impressed with. She said it didn’t taste homemade but the waiter assured us it was. My father got the Valrhona chocolate sundae and I got the signature butterscotch sundae. Both came with a cinnamon pastry of sorts on the top and lasted about five seconds.

The restaurant was full of other families with children and set up quite nicely. There was even a table towards the front that had a fancy curtain that wrapped around the table. It was cool but would have been much more appealing had you not been able to see through the curtain.
