Foreign Beggars Release Hip-Hop EDM Crossover Album – 22 Karma

Last week, UKF released an article titled: The Story Behind Foreign Beggars – 22 Karma. The article goes into depth about Foreign Beggars newest album and the artists involved. If UKF is writing about this album, it’s a definite sign of the legitimacy of this collection. That didn’t come to a surprise for me though, Foreign Beggars have been putting out heat since 2002 and are far from unknown in the hip-hop community.

I wasn’t surprised either when I heard their track “Toast” premiere on Noisia Radio, a renowned electronic music podcast. Noisia and Foreign Beggars have put out some incredible tunes together in the past, working as the supergroup I Am Legion. If you’ve never listened to the group’s self-titled album, I highly suggest you go check it out.

Back to 22 Karma, this hip-hop EDM crossover album showcases a wide range of different rappers and electronic producers. With names across the board, such as Feed Me, Flux Pavillion, Ivy Lab, Alix Perez, Dizmack, and Afronaut, there’s a sound or a line in here for almost anyone who gives a fuck about these genres. Quality production and raw thoughtful lyricism, packaged together with Foreign Beggars usual rowdy style, make this album a collection of heavy hitters.

I’m always a fan of music that pushes the envelope and tries to do something completely new and out there. 22 Karma is just that, a weird, grimy, head nodding album with addicting UK flow. Listen to it, show your friends, and let me know what you think. This is Robin checking out again. Catch you soon with more tunes.
