A few months back I was introduced to Gabe Fleck by way of the Vibe With Us music collective. Now that I’ve checked out a solid 15 tracks of his, I believe he’s one of the better male vocalists I’ve come across here in Pacific Northwest
Based in Corvallis, Oregon, the Oregon State University student has been actively pursuing music for the majority of the last few years. He recently released his first full length project, ‘The Life Through Emojis’ which is available for stream down below.
The 12 track project features impressive lyricism and vocals from Fleck along with a wonderful collection of funk, r&b, soul, and pop beats. Check out ‘The Life Through Emojis’ down below and let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter @RespectMyRegion!

After listening through the entire project I found that I really enjoyed 4 of the tracks. The first song, ‘Faith In My Woes’ has a super catchy sample and was a great introduction to what followed soon after.
My favorite track on the project, ‘Colder Shoulders’ is one of the first locally sourced songs that I have actively been showing to many closer friends of mine in some time. I particularly enjoyed the sound he chose to go with on this one which explains why this track has been on repeat.
‘Colder Shoulders’ could go down as a Gabe Fleck classic!
“You make me go insane. But I like it. Yeah I like it. I have to waste my time with someone… might as well be you.” – Gabe Fleck
The third track that caught my attention was ‘Rock With Me’. Super chill, sick guitar, and some wonderful vocals from Mr. Fleck. I also came across ‘Feel Away’, and highly recommend this one if you’re a fan of present day r&b or soul.
Stay tuned for future updates on Gabe’s progression as an artist and feel free to reach out and let us know if you’re interested in contacting him.
