3 Artists You Should See At Get Lucky 2018 + OFFICIAL FESTIVAL MIX

Top 3 Artists To See At Get Lucky In SLC + OFFICIAL FESTIVAL MIX

Ah, the city of Salt Lake. Utah’s center for culture, history, entertainment, and…. saltwater. This spring, the Great Saltair, located on the beach of the Great Salt Lake, will be hosting the St. Patrick’s Day celebration that no leprechaun or gold digger wants to miss. I’m making puns up, I’m kind of new to this. I guess you can call me a green horn. No? Alright then, back to the festival.

V2 Presents Get Lucky 2018

Getter, Spock, Datsik, Above & Beyond, Mija, and so many more artists are scheduled to perform on the 9th and 10th of March, a week before the actual day of St. Patrick’s. You have two whole days to see your favorite artists wreck Salt Lake City.

I’m going to list my top 5 acts to see at this festival. This is opinionated, and very biased. Don’t get mad if I don’t put your favorite artist on it. It’s just a list.

It. Is. Just. A. Damn. List.

3. Paul Oakenfold

This guy is the only person on this lineup to be producing/djing since the 1980’s. By legend, he’s a legend and an icon. Paul Oakenfold has had his tracks featured on The Matrix Soundtrack and Swordfish, and have had tracks that reached into the top 5 of the UK Charts. Even if you’re not a huge fan of trance I recommend seeing him. You won’t be disappointed.

2. Drezo

If you want deep, dark house music, you’ve got to see Drezo. He’s done remixes for Destructo, Dillon Francis, Herobust, Snails, and so many more. Personally, I think the highlight of his career is the collaboration that he did with DJ Hanzel for Need You by Dillon Francis. Despite DJ Hanzel’s hate for Dillon, Drezo somehow convinced him to make a deep house remix of the track, and turned out to be one of the best remixes done for it. Go check him out.

1. Getter

Everyone knows him as the Suh Dude guy. You know him as the funny, crazy dude with Nick Colleti on Vine. But what most people who don’t listen to electronic music don’t know, he has the most dynamic and bipolar sound library in the industry. First producing heavy dubstep tracks on Firepower records with Trampa, 50 Carrot, and other heavy hitters, to switching up his entire style, to having a rap side-project, he knows no musical bounds. His set at Paradiso last year showed me how dynamic not only his sound design is, but his mixing too.
