The Glitch Mob Sell Out Back To Back Shows At Seattle Showbox

After selling out their Saturday night event at the Showbox SODO last week, The Glitch Mob promptly added a Sunday show for their Seattle fans. Joined by Elohim and Anomalie, these artists absolutely blew us away with pleasing visuals and trippy live performances.

Opening the show, Anomalie took the crowd by storm with a jazzy and relaxed live keyboard/vocal performance. Anomalie was skillful, vibey, and fun. His half-hour set was a bit more toned down than the following acts but did a good job of setting the mood for the rest of the night.

Next up, Elohim won the crowd over with her natural singing ability and distinct style. “Have you ever had a dream that felt so real, when you woke up from it, you weren’t sure anymore if your life was real or a dream?” Elohim left us wondering about things like this, with prerecorded robot voices playing in between tracks, asking us the hard questions of life in a style that only Elohim could muster. Her set was amazing, and she did a perfect job at leading the way for the final act.

When The Glitch Mob took the stage, it was an exciting moment for many piqued fans who had told me that this was their third or fourth time seeing the group live. Before the hour and a half long set started, I took a moment to observe the crowd from the bar above. In my view, I saw a mix of diehard fans eager to reach the front of the floor, patient music nerds observing from the edges, and laidback dancers and flowmies who vibed near the back of the crowd.

The Glitch Mob dazzled fans with many of their classic tracks like “Fortunate Days,” “We Can Make The World Stop,” “Our Demons,” and tracks off their esteemed brand new album “Seeing Without Eyes.” My favorite moment of the entire night was when Elohim teamed up with The Glitch Mob to perform vocals for their track “I Could Be Anything.” Her voice alongside their combined performance and skill put shivers down my spine.

If you missed these artists performances over the weekend, well, you did miss some incredible shows. If you do get a chance to see these artists again in the future, however, don’t hesitate to buy your ticket! Soo many fans left astonished at The Glitch Mob’s performance that night, including me, and my only regret ended up being that I didn’t make it closer to the front of the stage.
