Local legend Illmaculate has dropped Clay Pigeons, his newest album. The project was mixed almost entirely by Illmac and primarily produced by Chase Moore. Additional tracks were produced by Trox, Stewart Villain, DJ Epik, and Illmac himself.
Featuring verses from Bigg K, Ness Lee, Cassow, OnlyOne, Milc, and Epp, this project is huge to be such a nonchalant release from this rapper. Ill really does make it seem effortless, however, as his aggressive verses draw the listener in and leave them waiting for the next track.
Despite the insane amount of press surrounding the shutdown of Illmac’s most recent local show (read our coverage here), this artist continues to demonstrate the extreme composure that has made him one of the biggest and most consistent names in Portland hip hop. This album is nothing but a reminder that Ill has the scene on lock.
Along with Clay Pigeons, Illmaculate has gone live with his new website, illmac.com.
