The man who made a name around the town with music from The Language of My World has already seen some backlash online for using popular topics for personal gain. I like to think I’m different from most people and believe Macklemore’s Drug Dealer music video to be emotional, musical, and very real.
It’s really no secret that I have criticized Macklemore’s ‘pop’ music but when he releases music like Drug Dealer, it’s too deep musically not to like. Grabbing Ariana Dedoo for the Drug Dealer music video, Macklemore tackles a very real pharmaceutical problem that millions of Americans are dealing with.
