Continue the Seattle Trance Alliance 2 Year Anniversary celebrations with Mark Sherry on Saturday, February 17th.
When it comes to tech trance, the name Mark Sherry is arguably the most synonymous with this subgenre. With countless releases over the last two decades with everyone who is anyone in trance, he has taken the world by storm with his signature sounds. Why this is only the second time he’s been in Seattle, I truly don’t know!
If you’ve been following the dance music scene since the early 2000s, this tune might be familiar to you.
I’d be willing to bet that Mark Sherry has been blasting through your speakers since 2000, and you didn’t even realize it! He formed the group Public Domain, producing three top 40 tracks in the UK, including this track, “Rock da Funky Beats“, and “Too Many MCs“.
Fans of trance have listened to his podcast Outburst Radio Show for years, with over 500 episodes and counting. Mark also runs numerous record labels, most notably Outburst Records, and has plenty of releases. Major labels like Coldharbour, Armind, and Flashover have his name in their catalogues, and at one point, he had an exclusive two year deal with Spinnin’s sub-label RESET.
We’re incredibly lucky to add a name of this caliber to our 2 year anniversary celebrations. After two amazing shows from Myon and Sean Tyas, tickets have been flying off the hook. Fans both old and new are coming to The Underground to see what the hype is about!
Mark himself has requested an extended set as well, aiming to break the clubs record for longest headlining performance. To accommodate for this, the show is starting at 9pm, and Mark well be in from 11:15pm-3am, at the earliest. Buckle up, because I’d be willing to bet that this show will go even later into the am!
