Meek Mill may get granted bail

Meek Mill Could Get Released From Prison Earlier Than Expected

Just before 2017 concluded, Philly rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to prison over a probation violation. The sentence stems from two prior arrests in Mar. 2017 and Aug. 2017. He was arrested for reckless driving & reckless endangerment (popping wheelies on his dirt bike). Also for several counts of misdemeanor assault (breaking up a fight). But in spite of that, Meek Mill could get released from prison earlier than expected.  Meek Mills mother asks district attorney to help her son

#FREE MEEK MILL

Since Meek’s incarceration, many felt the sentence given to Meek was harsh and unjust. This has been a shared sentiment from Philadelphia politicians, Philadelphia team owners, fans and fellow rappers from the likes of Jay Z, T.I., even Drake. Over the course of his time in prison, a number of events have taken place that would point to corruption in the case.

This includes the courts clerk asking Meek to pay for her son’s tuition. The court scheduling and cancelling a bail hearing on the same day. In addition to Judge Genece Brinkley requesting Meek to do a remake of one of her favorite Boyz II Men records. Recent developments find that one of the cops who was a key part Meek’s conviction has been accused of giving false statements.Cop lies in meek mill case

Meek Mill might get out early

The officer accused is part of  an active list of officers who frequently lie when taking the stand under oath. Since this finding, even the district attorney prosecuting Meek says they will not push the motion for denying Meek bail.

The Kicker

In many cases, judges will take the advice (but not required) of the district attorney whether to be an advocate of a defendants release or for there to be no bond. Much speculation has come to surface that Judge Brinkley may have a personal vendetta towards Meek. This makes way for the possibility that she may not follow suit with the district attorney’s advice. If this does ring true, this would display the severe misuse of power at hand in our justice system.

Another hearing for Meek has been scheduled to happen over the next week. We hope to see Meek granted bail and back on the streets making music for his fans.
