Besides Gift Uh Gab, I have yet to hear a female emcee of this caliber in the Northwest. I don’t even want to categorize either of the latter as “female” because both of these artists are putting out projects that shouldn’t be defined by gender and the talent is stellar regardless of being a man, woman, child, or anything! With my rant being said, Neka and Kahlo sent over a trailer a week or so back and I was impressed off top, having just browsed through the project I am further impressed. The song structure, writing, and sonic quality all sounds great (I have yet to dive into the full content to give an accurate overall review). Producer/singer and emcee duo Neka and Kahlo are more than just a group. They are the combined talents of two people in a relationship outside of music, that blends perfectly when they meet in the studio.
