RMR’s April 2016 Edition Of Artists You Should Know

There is a crazy amount of talent in the PNW and here at RMR we’ve noticed how much of it goes unnoticed. We’re all about supporting our local favorites but it’s time someone showed you the artists you don’t hear enough about. There are so many producers out there grinding and it’s a shame that the same handful of them are always talked about. So this is for all the undiscovered talent that doesn’t have the likes, reputation or connections to get booked and talked about. Just know, RMR hears you and we see you.

We encourage all PNW artists as well as music lovers to check out all of the tracks we’ve featured before following each of their Soundcloud profiles! If you’re truly a fan of the music, please do your part to share this article to your friends and family!

Aurelius

AURELIUS is out Portland, Oregon and my favorite track by him is his remix of Boys Noize & Pilo “Cerebral”. Pay attention to when he slows it down at 2:30. He adds about an extra minute to the track to really give the listener the experience of a journey through the consistent bassline.

Kai Wachi

Kai Wachi has returned to the music scene after a much anticipated break. Cranking out tunes on Kannibalen Records, we can’t wait to hear what hybrid trap sounds Kai has up his sleeve. My favorite track by him right now is a recent collab with Black Tiger Sex Machine titled “Survivor” ft. Face-T. I’d tell you why but you need to listen for yourself.

Tieren Simon

Tieren Simon is a new producer to the scene out of Seattle, Washington. His music is calmer than I expected considering his drumming background but it flows nicely. I’m excited to see where his career takes him. Check out my favorite track by him “Youth” ft. Moia Bri and ALi the Prodigy.

T-Rips

T-Rips is out of Seattle, Washington. Another up and comer, Trips has special place in my heart for his heavy-hit bass music. T-rips is a resident of Foundation Nightclub in Seattle, Washington. While his remix of “Aftershock” by NGHTMRE and Boombox Cartel is great, I really enjoy his mixing in his promo mix. My favorite part is at 11:50.

NOXID

NOXID is a trap producer out of Seattle, Washington. The past few months have been quite for this up and comer since his release of the XV EP ft J. Ran. I really like when artists switch up at the second drop and Noxid does this well in my favorite track by him titled “Trippin'”. Pay attention at the 1:42 mark.

Dayne 5150

Dayne 5150 is one of the founding fathers of the music scene in Boise, Idaho. While his role in forming the scene is worth noting, his musical talent is vastly underrated. Hanging out in the relms of techno and deep house, Dayne 5150 knows how to please this basshead ears. Check out his newest set.

Vaporizing Dreams

Vaporizing Dreams is a power couple out of Boise, Idaho putting down some liquid purple tunes. A bassheads wet dream, their lengthy list of originals is sure to keep your spirits up and your booty bouncing. As stated in their bio, “Their focus is to elevate consciousness through vibration for an experience that will change lives.” Make sure to give their newest track “Alchemy” a listen.

Kozmo

Kozmo – Anyone who throws some Griz, Dirtyphonics and Figure into a mix is someone I need to be listening to. Kozmo now brings that passion to the dance floor, combining elements of hip hop, 808s and jungle into a unique blend that will get you hooked. I’d tell you which mix is my favorite but that would mean I’d have to pick one.

Kissee

Kisseé is one of the most underrated artists to come out of Boise, Idaho. His tracks are good but what really sets him apart are his sets. They make you feel the music, sonically moving you and your emotions with each beat. My favorite set by him is titled “Return to Neverland 2.0”. You have to listen to his Inactivity EP which came out March 25th,.
