Ørjan Nilsen Releases “The Hardest Part”

One of the best acts of Paradiso 2016, in my mind, was by Norwegian DJ/Producer Ørjan Nilsen. He was supposed to return to Seattle for Lucky 2017, but due to illness, he had to cancel his set. I wouldn’t be surprised if USC brings him back for FreakNight or Resolution, though.

Ørjan has been busy lately, working on his third artist album which is due to drop this year. “The Hardest Part” is the second single to be released, featuring Eurovision vocalist and multi-award nominee Rykka, of Switzerland. This track is incredibly euphoric and a nice switch in style from this veteran producer!

“For me, trance is one of the biggest parts of my life. It’s there for all occasions. If I’m feeling down, if I want to party, if there’s some memories I want to revive. It just brings me to life.”

-Ørjan Nilsen

I really like the direction Armada is going, keeping trance vibey and euphoric, yet progressive enough for the average fan of dance music to really enjoy. Ørjan, over the last few years, is one of the only big room trance artists I can think of that has been able to stay relevant with changing tides, never disappointing fans with his releases. Many acts who have went the way of big room couldn’t keep up with the rising scene, but Ørjan Nilsen continues to be a must-see with any lineup.
