This weekend a handful of my all time favorite rappers will be in the Northwest. Sean Healy Presents is bringing Raekwon to Seattle and Portland for tour dates and is also bringing DJ Quik and Scarface on the same bill in both cities as well.
Raekwon’s latest album is one of the better Wu-Tang Clan solo efforts of the past half decade. I really dug The Wild album and have been a fan of the Chef since my early teens. DJ Quik is one of the most influential West Coast producers of all time and a legendary artist in his own right. Sharing that bill will be Houston’s heavy weight legend and Geto Boys representative, Scarface. Facemob is one of my top 10 emcees of all time and his last album Deeply Rooted in 2015 was heavily slept on!
