What is SantaCon 2017? It’s a chance for you and your friends to dress up in red and white as Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus and parade around the streets drinking and eating at different locations Seattle has to offer for a memorable experience.
Where is SantaCon 2017? It starts at 12:00pm Saturday, December 16th in downtown Seattle. Check out the Official SantaCon 2017 Facebook event for all the details, routes, and bonus activities. But here is a list of the rules:
- My name is Santa. Your name is Santa. We are Santa. Who’s in charge here? Santa!
2. Santa will bring cash and tip! No cards! No complex orders! Lines will be long, so keep it quick!
3. Wear a Santa suit! Be an elf! Or reindeer! Get in the holiday spirit. Wearing just a Santa hat with regular clothes is boring. And wear comfy shoes. Santa is covering lots of ground.
4. SantaCon is a participatory event. Entertain us! Bring something Santa will enjoy: candy, games, performances, signs, music, or a costume that will wow us!
5. Expect lines. Santa will have fun while waiting or find another spot nearby.
6. Santa obeys the law. Santa doesn’t drink in public or smoke in parks.
7. Pace yourself, Santa. Know your limits. Remember to eat!
8. Santa doesn’t drink and drive! Check out Migo, the free Seattle-based search app for rideshares at getmigo.com. Or ride bikes with Spin at https://www.spin.pm/. Or take a Lyft with code seattlesantacon for $50 off.
9. Santa doesn’t mess with kids, the police, businesses, or Santa!
10. Invite your friends! And use #SeattleSantaCon on Instagram or Twitter.
How much is SantaCon? The only thing you need to do is remember to register here, and pay the entry fee so you can join all the other Santa Clauses and Mrs. Clauses around the city! A portion of the entry tickets are going to Mary’s Place and will help “homeless women, children and families reclaim their lives by providing shelter, nourishment, resources, healing, and hope in a safe community.”
