Smokey Point Productions Extraction Lab Explodes Leaving One Injured

Washington State requires recreational marijuana extractors to have “bomb safe” rooms for their extraction process. The majority of work these guys do is safe even though they do handle highly flammable materials.

When working with dangerous materials, accidents are always possible. Yesterday around 1 pm, Arlington, WA cannabis producer and processor Smokey Point Productions experienced a freak accident as reported by the Everett Daily Herald.

When an extraction lab explodes, there is usually a high risk for flames, however the SPP team was able to manage the situation without a fire.

One employee was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and an investigation is underway. The RMR team hopes our fellow canna-fam member has a speedy recovery and is sending good energy to the SPP team in hopes that they bounce back even tougher.
