Sol – Eyes Open EP – Seattle HipHop

Seattle’s prince Sol offers his newest EP, Eyes Open, to the world. He released somewhat of a public service announcement yesterday about what made this project and what it meant. The project produced by Sol and his in house team of The Zilla’s and usual collaborators (what up Nima), is available to stream right here:

I currently have the project playing so I don’t have much to say about the actual music at this point but it sounds like Sol picked up right where he left off, and that is evolving his sound from hip-hop to adding a commercial influence. I do catch the some influence in the sounds and lyrics from his worldly travels, and for sure hear a “growth” in his music. Sol wanted to do more with this music than just make dope sounds, he provides some insight to his new world view and speaking on what is important in life.
