Sunday Slaps: Vol. 004 Feat. Quix “Storm” and CRaymak’s LRAD Remix

Welcome to Volume 4 of RMR’s Sunday Slaps. Your sonic journey this week will be lead by none other than Quix, CRaymak, Knife Party, and Pierce. Be cautious, we are not liable for any whiplash as you’re headbanging to these tracks.

This week’s lineup starts out with a brand new, saucy remix of an excellent track from 2013, LRAD by Knife Party. Circus Records alumni CRaymak partnered up with Scotsdale, AZ native Pierce to deliver a shockwave of bass.

New sounds are explored, with a hint of nostalgia as you ride the sonic wave from start to finish. This remix of LRAD is sure to “control the crowd” at any show where it’s played.

Round 2 comes out of the depths of the Southwestern Pacific Ocean. Quix’s first track of 2018 is what we expect from him, want from him, and then some. Something I never really expected from him was the heavy double pedal drums. I was fixated on them when the pre-drop hype started to build all the way until the climax hit.

The best way to describe it is Quix putting on a silencer on this heavy distorted laser and gradually blasts the listener to another dimension of heavy, unadulterated noise. It’s not just a slapper, it’s a steel-toed boot straight to your left jaw, so watch out.
