Taylor Stefani hasn’t become a brand name here in the Seattle music scene just yet but things are looking bright for the 25 year old rapper. The Lake Stevens based artist has a show scheduled for December 3rd at Tony V’s in Everett, WA and he’ll be performing alongside Huey P, Killzs, Cool Grande, and Foon Gizzle.
Since many of you have no idea who Taylor Stefani is, we decided it was time to plug our homie and feature his most recent project, ‘May Cause Drowsiness’.

Q: First off, tell our readers a little about yourself. Who are you? Where are you from?
A: “My name is Taylor Stefani and I am 25 years old. I’m from Lake Stevens, WA and have been working in music since I was 17.”
Q: Being from Lake Stevens do you feel connected to the ‘Seattle hip-hop scene’ or do you feel a little bit like a lone wolf operating in and out of the scene?
A: “I would say yes and no. The only reason yes is because being from lake stevens, nobody would expect a rapper to come from there. I’m pretty connected to artists from Seattle and I do shows in Seattle so it kinda goes both ways.”
Q: How long have you been making music and how long have you been taking your music ‘career’ serious?
A: “I’ve been making music since I was 15 years old.”
Q: Who would you say you’re most influenced by?
A: I mean I’ve been doing shows since 17 and I’ve had a couple mixtapes out. And I’ve been recording and doing my thing since I was 15 but I’d have to say this year is the most serious I’ve taken music so far.
Q: I haven’t seen a ton of your content online. Is that by design? Are you working to build a brand before unleashing music by the mass?
A: “Hands down, Lil Wayne.”
Q: What all projects do you have in the works?
A: “Just released a project called ‘May Cause Drowsiness’ and it’s available on Soundcloud with 13 tracks. Soundcloud/taylorstefanimusic or Taylor Stefani on Youtube. Next project is before New Years and it is called ‘Giambi’. I always say knock it out the park Giambi so I’m just rolling with that as ya boy continues workin’.”
