The Thesis: Bringing Artists Together In Portland And In The PNW

The Thesis: A Platform That Brings Artists In Portland Together

For over three years, the Thesis has been a monthly series that offers hip-hop performances each month in Portland. Taking place the first Thursday of each month at Kelly’s Olympian, the Thesis series is a one-of-a-kind event that hosts a wide variety of artists – but, more importantly, it brings hip-hop artists together as a community and provides a platform for local hip-hop to shine. Especially in Portland, it’s rare to find a venue that fully supports local hip-hop – so having a monthly series that is explicitly dedicated to the local hip-hop scene in Portland is vital.

The Thesis has a wide variety of hosts and sponsors that include We Out Here magazine and Respect My Region. WOHM and RMR will be hosting a pair of events through the Thesis platform – not only hosting artists in Portland, but in Seattle as well. The first event will take place on May 3rd at Kelly’s Olympian, and the second will be on May 8th at the Nectar Lounge in Seattle.  If you would like to attend the Thesis event in Seattle, please see the info below:
