T.I. Goes Off on Fans Criticizing His Tribute to Tupac

T.I. Goes Off on Fans Criticizing His Tribute to Tupac

It was a long time coming, but Friday night another milestone was reached within the hip-hop culture as Tupac Shakur was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Multiple artists were in attendance to pay their respects. Among those were Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Treach, YG as well as ATL rapper T.I.

Entering the award show, T.I. was caught sporting a leather strapped vest with a bandana knotted in the front, paying homage to the legend with his attire.

Apparently, more than a few fans had something to say about the tribute and T.I. wasn’t having any of it as he vented via Instagram and

“You lil mothafuckas didn’t grow up in a time where anything was important, mothafuckas. Goddamnit this is my mothafuckin era, my mothafuckin idol – I put the mothafuckin shit on because I mothafuckin respect him!”

I personally don’t have any issue with the way the King of the South chose to honor the legend. Should there have been a problem? Let us know in the comments. Would you have chosen a different way to honor Tupac or would you have done something similar?
