The Eastern side of the state has never really been known for “hip-hop.” Over the last few years though, more and more artists have been putting in work to get outside of the smaller cities and leverage the internet to reach new listeners. Dave Cerdafyed is one of those individuals.
Coming out of Toppenish, a small town on the outskirts of Yakima, Dave caught our ear with melodic rhymes and a knack for true to self subject matter. “Need To Know,” is a celebration of the good times, built upon the confidence Dave has found growing into the person he is today. ”

“This video shows how I’ve dealt with people talking bad about me and how I feel in regards to that if people are hating I must be doing something right!” says Cerdafyed. He wanted to shoot the video in his home city of Toppenish surrounded with friends he grew up with.
