This kid Travis Thompson is a Seattle rapper I have huge expectations for this year. Doing impressive numbers on Soundcloud, the 20-year-old Seattle youngin’ is already sounding like he’s doing it right.
At first listen, I noticed Travis’s vocal tone is similar to BFA’s Cole, but his sound is more similar to the likes of Mac Miller meets Russ. I have never held back my tongue for my disdain for white rappers, but this kid is official.
With a unique look and sound, he is far from the usual Seattle bedroom rapper and I see big things. Moves are being made with features from Michael Christmas and production from the likes of Tyler Dopps and Nima Skeemz.
Travis is not only grindin’ on Soundcloud. I also hear the numbers are translating to Thompson’s live shows as well.
