Twenty-year-old Travis Thompson still carries his adolescent tone. In his new song Hold Me Down, he talks about being young in the industry. “I run my mouth, but you always run back cause you love my ass.”
It’s becoming clear to me that Thompson is establishing his own style in Seattle. His wordplay never fails to make me laugh and his self-confidencee and sense of humor creates authentic feelings within his songs. His flow is easily identifiable, rolling with the snare on verses with legato hooks.
Travis quickly got his name onto the scene by working with legendary local talents. This song was produced by Nima Skeemz, and features the ridiculously talented guitar work by Elan Wright. You know the drill, take a peek and tell me what you think.
