In early December, the mysterious DJ, Trippy Turtle announced his last tour. He posted on social media, saying that the ocean was too polluted for him to continue this journey. Afterwards, he became an advocate for a clean environment and hosted a beach cleanup, as well as made a PSA that all shows on the tour will be straw-free.

Trippy Turtle has made some big waves with his music these last couple of years, so it was hard for the fans to take in the news of his retirement.
I was lucky enough to catch him in Vancouver on his short tour in 5 cities. It was my first, and unfortunately, my last time seeing him perform live. However, he did not disappoint. He and other members (Drippy Dolphin, and Baile Bear) of the Fofofadi label put on an amazing show, which included a 30-minute hip-hop set and lots of unreleased remixes. Although Trippy Turtle is going into retirement, I suggest keeping up with the rest of the Fofofadi crew. They’re all equally as talented and full of potential!
