Seattle Rapper Webb Wavvy Is Back With His New Single “What It Be Like”

Known as one of the most hardworking artists in the entire city, Seattle rapper Webb Wavvy is back with his new energetic single “What It Be Like” – which is destined to be a summer anthem that cannot be ignored. While much of  Wavvy’s success can be seen in his overall grind and work ethic within his music, it is also credited towards the constant collaborations that we see both on stage and behind the mic.

Produced by Synco, the upbeat single driven by a heavy bass synth perfectly showcases Wavvy’s complex lyrical structure paired with catchy hooks throughout the entire song. While most rappers are hopping on many trap-based instrumentals, he goes in a far different direction as most of the beats showcase an array styles that include R&B and soul mixed with influences of old-school percussion and at times boom bap.

When listening to “What It Be Like,” it doesn’t quite fit into any of these stylistic tendencies that we normally see within his music, and as a result, it’s refreshing to hear an uptempo anthem that is met with substantial lyrical content that is showcased through a hard yet precise delivery. This is an element that’s not usually seen, and it’s both exciting and unique to hear Webb Wavvy have this approach not just within this single, but in all of his releases.
