The White Russian strain was a Valentine’s Day special at Apex Cannabis and it was quite the steal. This time around I walked away with a $25 8th of White Russian from the farm, Cashmere Cannabis.
Their version of the White Russian strain had a sweet oaky aroma when I opened the bag. I really was surprised to see the buds were variations of a light, medium, darker green, and almost a forest green in a few spots on each bud. Thin, very light orange colored hairs sparsely covered the green terrain of the cannabis. While I ground up the cannabis, the sweet smell intensified and a slightly skunky smell seeped out. The ground cannabis was in fact much whiter than the outside of the buds appeared.
When it was ground up, it was fluffier than expected. It was a slight struggle to pack a decent bowl in a clean piece. The cannabis hit relatively smooth and there was a skunky sweet taste that reminded me very much of sugared walnuts and pecans. The exhale was earthy and the smoke was thick and milky.
The high was chill but also came with a euphoric stoned feeling It was very relaxing. The wonderful part for me was that I was stoned and feeling really rejuvenated as my high set in. Thankfully, I wasn’t so baked that I couldn’t get up and do some piyo. The extra stretching and deep breathing really allowed me to soak up this relaxing high. I did some meditation afterward and finished reading a few books I’ve been working on. Overall, I really enjoyed the White Russian strain from Cashmere Cannabis.
