Typically associated with smelly white and black rodents, the name Skunk doesn’t bring a positive image to mind. In this case, 1937 Farms has changed that stigma by bringing back an old-school strain. Skunk #1 has floated around the cannabis world for decades.
Variations of this strain have been produced in gardens since the 70’s. Although I am sure the potency has drastically changed, this hybrid strain contains genetics from weed powerhouse strains Afghani and Acapulco Gold along with some Columbian Gold.
1937 Farms recently changed their packaging. Though this change might be beneficial, previously their eighths came in glass jars, which I enjoyed. Now they utilize the traditional plastic packaging so many other companies are using. One huge difference between 1937 and other farms is the size of their packaging. They utilize all of the space the packaging provides to fit their product inside. This might not be the most visually appealing way to package a product, but it does utilize a little less plastic.
Skunk #1 has a unique smell to it. Reminiscent of a pine tree forest, the aroma is known as a pungent aroma of fresh pine needles. Each piece of the nug is held together tightly around the stem. Orange hairs are tightly weaved within each space on the buds. They utilize every available space to their advantage. This creates a visually appealing and excellent smelling product.
Focused, relaxed, and calm are how I would describe the high from this strain. 1937 does an excellent job at creating a quality product at an affordable price. I found the flavor to be comparable to the smell released by the weed. Waves of energy and a desire to relax followed eachother throughout the duration of the high.
