New hip-hop subgenres have been popping up left and right since it’s original creation, and especially nowadays. Spokane, Washington rapper All Day Trey has been a challenger.
As a genre with a homophobic history, Trey sets out to help make hip-hop more accepting and fill the gap that is lack of queer representation. All while also forming his own subgenre, “sunshine rap.”
“Sunshine rap” comes from a brew of positivity, bright sounds, and brisk beats. Essentially, All Day Trey is cooking up genuinely vibey hip-hop. Perfect for hopping in the car, rolling down the windows, and turning the music loud.
Trey translates his own personal experiences into his music, delivering authentic and inspiring messages. His conscious themes like mental health and correcting toxic behaviors truly resonates with listeners and is known to brighten their day.

Being known as “the kid that raps all day,” hip-hop runs through Trey’s veins. The theme of Trey’s most recent project is survival, enduring, and overcoming. His passion is apparent in his latest album, “Stay Afloat.” This is All Day Trey’s first project back since taking a break from music in 2017. Being vulnerable about common experiences that are commonly taboo and shedding light upon them is what Trey does best. He creates music for well beyond himself; he creates music for humanity.
