Out of all the artists we at RMR are covering for DayDream Fest on the 19th of this month (SO VERY SOON), this man deserves serious shine—Ambition. Mountain View, CA native is the driving force behind the creation and execution of the festival itself, as well as a performer. Already you must be dying to know more like I did, so let’s get into figuring out who this veritable hustler is.
19-year-old dreamer, Ambition, has been wildly busy stacking up work on his lap and making the big-time moves. Earlier this year he released a full-length album titled “Before The Real.” He considers this his heaviest content as it reflects on a tough time in his life before graduating high school. Stuck in a rut by drug and alcohol and overall life abuse, homeboy turned his life around.
After hitting rock bottom he found faith, a job, and the drive to graduate. Now catch him in college, recording albums, and apparently organizing a pretty big festival. 10 plus artists from six different states, the dude seems to have big plans that you should tune in to. Ambition partnered up with CEO/founder of Prodigy SF Entertainment (Burd Mgmt) to put together something bigger than a simple show at your local dive.

Ambition’s got the Bay-area vibes left and right. This reminds me of some dark, yet bouncy Polyester Saint kind of production. Maybe even some IAMSU!’s evil twin brother comparisons could be made. Either way, the production and the flow is bouncy in the way I feel like I’m cruising in the El Co to chill at the mall, maybe drink a 40 at the park later.
I really vibe with the tormented-soul take on the bouncy Bay sound. But don’t trip, Ambition got mad variety on his beat selection, and the bangers throughout his recent album are wavy in their own way. Did I mention he also started his own label, DayDream Records?
