American Amnesia Release Addicting Alt-Rock Album “Yet Here We Are”

Alt-rock trio American Amnesia is just that, awash in the current musical climate of 2018, it seems as though these guys have relearned what it means to be a rock band. Influenced by groups such as Metallica, Rush, Alice In Chains, and The Killers, American Amnesia is synthesizing grunge and alt-rock and pulling their very own and style sound out of the musical ether.

With an in-your-face and soulful approach that hints at 90’s style grunge and alt-rock with a modern touch, American Amnesia has produced an album that poses for the identities of of the current youth, and does so without modesty or subtlety. Each instrument stands out throughout the album, each of the performers managing to build each other up while also reaching for their moment in the spotlight, allowing time for a drum or guitar solo, or the intended emphasis of a certain lyric or harmony.

There’s a nice variety in the songs of this album, so it’s worth it to listen through for the sound you like the most. Personally, my favorite track on the album is “Richest Poor Man” for its rough-n-tumble energy and jam-band sound. Listen to the album below and let us know what you think!
