Anthony Danza Takes Seattle Back To The 80s On BBS Diaries

Legendary West Coast producer, DJ, and Seattle artist Anthony Danza is taking the city back a few decades on his latest release. BBS Diaries is the perfect album for your summer soundtrack in the town.

BBS is pure cuts, from rope chains to cocaine references throughout the album. Danza has made a larger name for himself behind the boards over his career but on this project he shows the perfect blend of being a producer and an emcee. The complete package, he taps into a refreshing sound that calls on familiar vibes. 80s love songs are flipped into up-tempo West Coast slaps that lay perfect groundwork for bars to satisfy any rapper’s rapper.

Staying true to the theme on BBS Diaries, all the accompanying photos and videos are shot with 80s filters. It even features outfits and cars true to the era. One can’t stress how much of a “complete project” this is from the sound down to the skits. Seriously, I don’t know who is cutting up on this man’s voicemail but they will be sure to get you laughing.

Take a look at the latest “G2G” video, wipe your BBS rims down with a stack of 20s and hop into the full project below.

Bonus Track – “Rich Tonight”

The intro, “At All Costs,” was treated to a visual as well. While most of the album features an upbeat summery vibe, this record is all bars over a down-tempo synth line that feels reminiscent of something from the Scarface Soundtrack.
