Whatever it takes for herd immunity, right? Recreational weed outlets like Apex Cannabis in the Spokane area of Washington state have set up their own coronavirus vaccination clinics. This is one of the first manifestations of Washington’s “Joints for Jabs” program.
At the time of writing this, approximately 44.1% of the US population has received the COVID-19 vaccine. As of June 17th, 51% of Washington specifically. Among other methods employed by organizations to encourage citizens to get the shot, Joints for Jabs is certainly a unique method for the moment.
“The goal is vaccination. The incentive is cannabis,” Stacey Peterson, licensee of Apex Cannabis, told Spokesman. She also encourages people to register in advance at the link in the next section. If you do, you will receive a 25% discount on store purchases. Walk-ins receive a 15% discount.

If you are in the vicinity of Spokane, you can pre-register for your vaccine with Apex via the link below. The pop-up clinic is set to be open until July 12th. The clinic is set to run Thursdays from 11:30 a.m – 2:30 p.m and Fridays from 1:00 p.m – 4:00 p.m.

Cannabis & Glass, another dispensary in the region, will be doing the same thing in a few weeks. That said, be sure to keep your eyes open for more opportunities like this within the state.
A private vaccine clinic in the region provides the vaccines, doses of Johnson & Johnson as well as Pfizer to be specific. It is important to note that the Spokane Regional Health District wants nothing to do with this. Because of the use of marijuana as an incentive, Joints for Jabs goes against their efforts to discourage youth from pursuing THC products.
