Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure. Mad Mark Farms incorporates that idea into the label and all the care that goes into growing this strain. This sativa-dominant hybrid is a cross between Jack Herer and Black Domina. With a track record of producing excellent cannabis, I was excited to see a new strain from Mad Mark Farms on the shelves at The Evergreen Market.
Labels from Mad Mark Farms usually contain a wide range of imagery. This label references other strains packaging but incorporates the idea of love, beauty, and pleasure, with women all over. Aphrodite’s color is unlike any strain I have seen in awhile. There is a pine needle green haze to the cannabis. Hairs with an almost translucent grey shade coat the nugs. Typically I’ve seen orange or amber colored hairs on different strains; this coloring is new.
The aroma of the cannabis, when broken apart, was similar to a sweeter version of pine. The weed was fresh, as it didn’t crumble at all when I broke up my first bowl. Sweet was the first thing that came to my mind when I took my first rip. One hit immediately cleared that grogginess I had after going to the Slightly Stoopid show last night. That flavor carried over from that first rip until the bowl was gone. The head-clearing high that I received from this strain was great as I bumped tunes and cleaned my apartment. The low THC numbers should be ignored, this strain definitely kicks your butt.
