On Monday Cincinnati rapper Aris Ray released visuals for his newest track, “Grunge Freestyle.” The freestyle comes with booming production from Xanarchy artist Ben Great.
In addition to being a member of Xanarchy, Aris is considered by many as a top-notch lyricist. He’s known for his unique ability to piece together songs seamlessly. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he is also the older brother of rising R&B star Arin Ray.
On this freestyle, Aris Ray touches on topics such as coming up, cutting people off, and returning to creating music seriously as an artist. Ray also mentions how he wants to set the record straight for who is in his tier as an artist and what he is really capable of.
“Let’s start it off on a clear note. I know you guys that think you rapping my tier bro, but let’s see how far you can your friends go. I just want to be clear.” – Aris Ray, Grunge Freestyle, 2019
This song showcases a different part of Aris’ section of Aris’ musical style. The slower-paced instrumental allows Aris to ride many different flows. These flows and lyrical content are expressive of Aris’ dedication to his music.
In addition, Aris Ray has also released visuals for this track, which are shot and edited by Matose Visuals. The video also features an appearance from Steven Cannon. As Aris starts to drop music more consistently, fans will surely be satisfied with plenty of new music.
