Azealia Banks Says Cardi B Is Only Successful Because She's Latina

Azealia Banks Clowns Cardi B Calling Her The “Poor Mans Nicki Minaj”

Azealia Banks is back at it again. But instead of going to war against a teen on Twitter, she clowns Cardi B, calling her the “Poor mans Nicki Minaj.”

In a recent Instagram live video, Banks is heard accusing Cardi B of having a ghost writer and sleeping around the industry for quality verses.

“They gassed you like you was that girl, but you’re not that girl…You’re gonna have your moment now and then you’re gonna be gone. Enjoy it.”

Banks continues on saying it is the black men in hip-hop who are to blame for Cardi’s success. Stating they haven’t taken responsibility to properly curate this sect of black women’s culture.

“Hip-Hop goes really easy on ya’ll non-black bitches – do you know why? Because they want to fuck.”

Banks does give credit to Cardi with a left-handed compliment stating “Bodak Yellow” is a great song, but says it’s success on the charts isn’t organic.

Even though Cardi did bite Kodak Black’s flow & beat to “No Flockin”, I still very much enjoy the record and think it’s easy to root for Cardi because of her infectious attitude.

I wouldn’t go as far to call Cardi B an industry plant because she previously had other avenues of receiving attention before her rap career, but what are your thoughts? Definitely get in the comments and let us know.

Are the black men of the hip-hop industry to blame for Cardi’s success? Is Cardi only where she’s at because she’s Latina and fairer skinned? Or is Azealia Banks just bitter because she’s yet to see this level of success?
