Ballerz 29 by LIT: A Complex Hybrid Strain Available In MA

Last year on our North American Weed Tour, we got to experience dispensaries across the country while we scoped out new, and unique, products and strains in the legal cannabis space. Towards the end of the tour, we were lucky enough to swing by AYR Wellness, in Watertown, MA, for one of the cleanest dispensary experiences we’ve had to date.

Our team was not only impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, but also with the knowledge of the budtenders, their expansive inventory, and the quality of their recommendations as well. While we’ve smoked a lot of Gary Payton phenotypes in the past, the Ballerz 29 (Gary Payton x Project 4516) strain by LIT truly offered us something special.

Ballerz 29 Strain from LIT Farms

The LIT Farms Ballerz 29 Strain is a Grandiflora Genetics creation that also goes by the name Supersonic. This balanced hybrid offers floaty, full-bodied effects, and a complex aromatic profile that may leave you wanting more. At first glance (and smell) the distinctive characteristics of Gary Payton (Y x Snowman) stand out in this strain. However, as the effects set in, the qualities of Project 4516 (Platinum Puff x Gelato 45) begin to shine through.

Appearance, Aroma & Effects

Breaking open the mylar bag of this Ballerz 29 strain flooded the room with a fragrant funk. While the aroma is less like burning rubber than Gary strains tend to be, the earthy/diesel qualities still stand out for sure. Breaking down the buds reveals more impressive layers to this strain’s terp profile. The initial layers of the aroma mix with a semi-floral and slightly sweet spiciness, followed by a citrus-creaminess that uniquely lightens up the profile as a whole.

At first glance, the dense grey-ish, green nugs look aesthetically pleasing; although they were a little beat up from being tossed around the mylar bag. The complex nose of this strain distinctively translates through the first hit, leaving flavors of Gary Payton lingering on the tongue. Similarly to the smell, the palate of the Ballerz 29 strain becomes more intricate with each tantalizing taste.

The effects of the Ballerz 29 strain have the potential to leave you feeling blissfully relaxed and energetically floaty. This strain may be the perfect pairing for any afternoon sesh because it can relax overworked muscles and relieve stress without causing couch-locked levels of sedation. With a THC potency of roughly 24%, this strain is not for the faint of heart. Newbies, or those with lower tolerances, will want to take it slow with this high-powered hybrid. While those with higher tolerances may find that it’s perfect for combatting stressors throughout the day.

Overall Score

This batch of Ballerz 29 received an overall score of 91 out of 100, with Mitch praising the unique strain for its fast-acting effects and fragrant terp profile, even though it was over a month old. Based on the terps alone, we have high hopes that a fresh batch of Ballerz 29 would bring the heat.
