Bella Mac Is Here To Talk “Numbers” Out Of Yakima

We’ve all been done wrong and feel some type of way about someone we used to rock with. Most of us internalize that, whiles others put that energy into action. Yakima-bred rapper Bella Mac channeled her energy into her latest visual, “Numbers,” where she directs that energy at six ex-friends that did her wrong.

The short record features six stories, without naming names, about those who have wronged her in the past. The beat leaves plenty of space on the plate for Bella to eat up her foes with. The visual is pretty laid back. There’s a nice touch, though, with the six clown mannequin heads that get lit on fire.

This is the type of energy you love to see on a record. It’s classic hip-hop shit talk without taking it outside of the music atmosphere. As Respect My Region got our start in the 509, it’s always nice to see someone making moves out of the Yaks. There has been talent in the region over the last decade-plus, but there is a gap right now with Babyface Wood currently sitting down for a bid. Bella Mac clearly has something to say, and we look forward to more content from the Washington artist. She also connected some dots around the region by linking up with Seattle videographer @landoedidit of Vivid visuals and mentioning how Portland beef inspired the direction of this record.

We’re here for it.
