One of the first seeds I ever popped was Blueberry. Beyond Blueberry from Wonderbrett smells like that strain, but a thousand times better. I’m sure Wonderbrett has access to much better technology than what I had in my garage. Their Beyond Blueberry strain shares lineage with Sundae Driver, another smelly cannabis strain.
Their state of the art grow facility resides in Long Beach California. Having provided his cannabis to some of the biggest smokers in the United States during the late 90s and early 2000s. Wonderbrett’s cannabis was present during the recording of Dr. Dre’s legendary 2001 album, The Chronic. In 2014 Brett decided the masses deserved access to his cannabis and created Wonderbrett.
Everything about the packaging for their cannabis screams classy. A small black box, similar to what would contain a nice watch or piece of jewelry holds a black jar containing the cannabis. The Wonderbrett logo is etched into the glass jar, the only piece of color on the jar. You can’t see inside, this protects the cannabis from harmful lights in the stores and at your house.
Unboxing The Beyond Blueberry
Cracking the jar fills the air with a smell similar to blueberry buttermilk pancakes with berry syrup on top of them. The berry aroma is overwhelming and boy does it smell like breakfast. I rolled the nugs around in my fingers for a bit before loading them into the bong. When I attempted to squeeze one between my fingers there was no give. These are dense like rocks and refuse to fall apart. There is a dark shade of green to each of the nugs with deep orange pistils. This color combination fits perfectly with the forests on the West Coast.
The first hit out of my bong instantly hit my taste buds with a pungent blueberry flavor. That was followed by a subtle creamy taste as I worked my way through the rest of the bowl.
Almost immediately I felt my shoulders relieve some tension and a smile made its way across my face. The dread from all the meetings I still have to do quickly melted away. Have snacks on hand, the munchies from this strain are potent and will require a tremendous amount of attention.
